Letter to Woman

Dear Friend,

If you are among the many women here who are looking at our literature regarding baby development and abortion and feel regret and grief, then I would like to speak to you.

I know that many of us still carry a heavy burden of guilt because of the mistakes that we've made in the past. Aborting your baby causes tremendous anxiety and sorrow. Healing and release from this burden come as we open ourselves to the restoring power of God's love, forgiveness and mercy. God is alive and real. He is a Father who cares, who listens, and who understands our pain and weaknesses.

I know, through my experiences with God, that there is no pit too deep for His loving arms. King David wrote in Psalm 40: “I waited for the Lord and He heard my crying. He brought me up out of the horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and made my footsteps firm."

David knew the meaning of sorrow and grief. He wept bitterly before the Lord after he was confronted with his sins of committing adultery with BatSheva and murdering her husband Uriah. Psalm 51 is David's plea to God for forgiveness and renewal. "Create in me a clean heart, Oh God, and renew a right spirit in me. Restore unto me the joy of Thy salvation." (vs. 10,12). David knew that God is close to the brokenhearted. "The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and contrite heart, Oh God, Thou will not despise." (vs. 17)

My sister, there is a loving, compassionate God who cares for you. You can share your burden and your guilt with Him for He is forgiving.

Often, God brings other people into our lives to listen, share our burdens and pray with us. Opening yourself to God and to other caring people can bring true release as we receive love and acceptance even as we expose our deepest pain.
